Mala beads are intentional pieces of jewelry traditionally used for counting and reciting mantra during meditation.

Your isla mala beads can be utilized for your personal mantra meditation or worn as a reminder of your unique intentions.

Each isla mala is handmade with natural earthstones + infused with energies to support you as you journey around the sun.

Custom mala necklaces available upon request.

ISLA MALA was born after hurricane Irma + Maria devasted the Virgin Islands. St John Yoga Teacher, Jen Endicott, began making the “Love City Mala”, named after St John's nickname, Love City. The design representing serenity + strength, reminding the wearer of the white sands + blue hues of the water. Jen decided to name the entire collection of mala necklaces "ISLA MALA" to represent Puerto Rico, the island who helped to evacuate her and her husband from St John and to the states only hours before Hurricane Maria hit land.

Each ISLA MALA is made with 108 earthstone beads, representing 108 sacred points within the body. Your earthstones are hand knotted together + finished with a guru bead + handmade cotton tassel.
